Help for Popcorn Machines
Popcorn machines are categorized by their kettle size. An eight ounce kettle will pop 8 - 1 oz. servings in a single popping cycle. A one ounce serving of popped popcorn can fill a standard #3 bag. Most machines have a quick 3 minute cycle after initial warm-up, so you max out profits. After you determine what size popper is perfect for your location or occassion, you can examine special features for your machine, such as carts or bases, lighting, signage, and other details.

How to Make Perfect Popcorn
- On your popcorn equipment, turn the kettle heat switch on.
- Place the properly measured popcorn oil amount into the kettle.
- Test pop by placing 5-10 kernels into the oil.
- When those have popped, place the correct amount of corn and Flavacol into your popcorn machine (if using a MegaPop Portion Kit, the Flavacol will already be included in the oil).
- When the crackling noise of popping corn is no longer heard, dump the kettle completely (about 3-4 minutes)
- Scoop out a portion of perfectly popped popcorn and enjoy.
- When making consecutive batches in your popcorn machine, after you have added new oil, wait 45 seconds to add the corn and Flavacol.
How to Clean your Popcorn Machine
- Always wipe down the kettle after dumping the last batch of popcorn.
- Use a soft cleaning cloth to wipe the sides and lid of the kettle.
- Watchdog Glass Cleaner can be used on the all popcorn equipment: glass walls, bottom, and even the kettle (It contains NO ammonia so it is safe use on a popcorn machine).
- If the oil and salt is not wiped off regularly, a carbon residue will build up on the kettle.
- We recommend Heat & Clean kettle cleaner for tough kettle buildup.
- Never immerse your popcorn kettle in water!
