Help for Snow Cone and Shave Ice Machines
Gold Medal and ConcessionPalace.com offer two different kinds of frozen treat machines - Snow Cone and Shave Ice Machines. We offer pre-mixed flavored syrups in quart and gallon sizes, as well as E-Z Concentrate to mix your own. We recommend the use of wax lined cups for serving to keep your customers from losing their delicious treats.
Snow Cone Machines shave crunchier, pellet-like ice chunks. When syrup is poured over the treat, it flows to the bottom where it stays ice cold. Most snow cone machines have display areas, where ice can be shaved ahead and scooped as customers come through.
Shave Ice Machines create very small, snow-like crystals that hold the syrup better compared to the snow cone. Shave Ice machines are more expensive than snow cone machines and do not have display areas. Each serving is dispensed directly into the serving vessel.
How to Make Snow Cones
- Fill the top of the snow cone machine with ice.
- Push down on the handle to force ice against the shaver blade (less pressure makes finer snow, harder pressure makes courser snow).
- With a snow cone dipper or two hands, mold the ice into the snow cone cup.
- Top with one pump of ready to use snow cone syrup. Enjoy!
How to Make Shaved Ice
- Fill the top of the shaved ice machine with ice. Hold serving vessel at point of output.
- Push down on the handle to force ice against the shaver blade.
- Shape the ice in the serving vessel.
- Top with one pump of shave ice syrup. Enjoy!
